The original Spy hunter was a top down shooter where as the newer version is 3D. If you try and compare the Palm version you're looking at a very dated game. It's like comparing Return to Castle Wolfentstein to the original Apple II Castle Wolfenstein.

well it's not my style anyways, I want kick ass shooters and with that analogue controller I will finally get to play them on the road (the way it was meant to be ... I mean ecks vs sever and nightfire and all are nice but the controls man ... THE CONTROLS!)

anyways they will be updating their info on the Helix every week from now on so I guess it's about to be released (2, 3 months I reckon).

there's been a whole bunch of new info released here are the most important bits

- High Res Display

Gorgeous high-resolution (480x320), 16-bit color display delivers incredible graphics for still and view images. Play games, watch movies and view images on the oversized display. Finally..there's no compromise in screen size, resolution or color for the sake of portability.

- Analog Controls/Triggers

True analog controller and ergoomically placed action triggers let you stay in control of game play. Tight and responsive action means your characters move just the way you want them to. Enjoy unmatched convenience with the ability to reach 64 applications with just a nudge of the analog controller and a single mouse click. You can even drag and drop categories and applications into the radial menu for total customization.

- SD Slots

Double the fun. Double the expandability. Two easily accessible SD slots let you add anything from memory to SDIO cards to content distributed on SD cards. Pump up your memory to a maximum of 1GB. Drop an SD card into one slot and view full-feature movies or a photo album. Use the other to switch between your favorite games. Or maybe add a WIFI card or digital camera. The options are endless.

$300 for the N-Gage?

My personal opinion can be summed up in 3 words:
Crash and burn.

Nonetheless, the new Red Faction looks cool.

Yes I have seen the light about N-Gage, but I think I am going to buy the Helix Tapwave for sure

i'm not sure if anyone ever posted it here, skimmed most of the forum and if someone else did i'm sorry    but john told me that their are no geo mods in the n gage red faction. and... considering it was the biggest selling point... and that in practice it turned out to be massively underused and little more than a gimmick...

i wouldn't get too worried about that.

Cool thanks for the info, but to me that was one of the coolest things about the game

mwah I'm definately not getting the N-gage anymore.

now with the Helix (I refuse to call it Zodiac because it's stupid!) being $399 I just can't afford getting  both anymore

I really hope they'll be bringing Red Faction to the Helix though, Helix is compatible with Fathammer's X-forge engine so there shouldn't be to much problems there

Is the X-Forge the source engine for the N-Gage also?

Nokia seems to have a deal with THQ Wireless to get these published, and are probably throwing around a bit of money in order to get it on their system. I don't think the makers of Helix have the kind of resources Nokia has, so I doubt it will be ported over to the Helix.
