alternative candidate: the Doomguy should be played by that guy who has the contract for *every* movie trailer voiceover *ever*. (you know the guy, the one who uses the same deep, gravelly voice for everything from Aliens VI: The Incredible Pant-Wetting Terror to Bridget Jones' Diary IV: Oh, Damn, Aren't I Just *So* Cute And Lovable Yet Empowering And Kickass AT THE SAME TIME!)

That's one of the great things about Chrono Trigger. Who did the voice effects for The Doom Guy, anyway?
Wha? What the hell does that have to do with Chrono Trigger? There aren't ANY voices in that game! It's for the frickin' SNES!

The Doom Guy's voice sounds were -probably- from the same SFX CD that was used for the rest of the sounds in the game.

Yup the more that is left to your imagination the better. It's better being yourself than Duke Nukem or James Bond for example...more 'immersive' imo.
Yet, most of you guys complain that Doom has a crappy plot or none at all. What, too wussy to 'use your imagination' all of the sudden? Pah.

Yes, but Crono doesn't have a single line of dialogue in the entire game, except in one of the secret endings.  That's what I meant.

If I'm not mistaken, Link never says anything in any of the Zelda games, either.

Not only no spoken dialouge (with the exception of "waaaah" and "ugh" and whatnot), but Link never even speaks a single word of TEXT either. I guess he has in common with the Doomguy that aspect of anyone being able to identify with him.

Depends on who is playing DOOM...

By the way, the name of the game should be typed in ALL CAPS.
