Hey,
while i was tampering with a new texture set, i mistakenly hit return while execing "dkdata.exe".
Up came a line that briefly stated the usage of the program:
"usage: qgrab -a <archive-directory> -release <release directory>...." and some other parameters including "-only, -3ds".
This triggered me to use a hex editor and examine the "dkdata.exe"-file.
This look revelead that the "dkdata.exe" is a multipurpose program. It isn't only involwed in creation of texture sets it's also:
An pakbuilder. Usage unknown 1*
Skin utilty. Usage unknown 1*
Model converter. Usage unknown 1*
And propably some more features.

There's a truckload    of parameter switches to use at the commandline.
It's even got an -coffeedone parameter.

I tried to use one of them like this one "-lgen" which i "think" is the modelgenerator.

Since i don't have Lightwave i used some Lightwave object from a demo of Messiah Animate and which is from an later version that was used with DK. But anyway i tried out some commandline parameters and got it to read the .lwo file.
I got some error lines stating errors in the .lwo file which i was supposed to get since the version mismatch.
But any result is the next step on the road.

So what is this? Is it useful? Or should we just drive through?
I think that if we could get information of the proper usage of "dkdata.exe" with its parameters could incorporate new models into DK and thus enhancing our gameplay.

1*/ Some usage info is provided in the "dkdata.exe"-file but it's rudimentery.
