If you want to be recognized, get the project done, then release it. Then when Eidos sends it's lawyers after you, you'll get a huge public spotlight.

As for the legal guy, thanks but no thanks. I don't like the idea of going against a league of lawyers with nothing to back me up.

No, no. Just post legal stuff and if anyone asks about the legal status you lay it on them.
3dfx can deal with Eidos.

There's not much I can write up. You're basically using a license you don't own to create a sequel. If anyone was to ask me the legal status of the project, I would say that but in fancy terms to confuse them. Really, the only way to make this legal is to make it a parody, or get permission. Parodies are protected under US law.

I've found a number of skins on Polycount for the Crash character. I need to know which one to pick (we aren't using the original skin).
Any suggestions on which one to use? (try looking on www.google.com and searching Crash quake3).
This sounds dumb but we need a new skin.

UPDATE:
We've began work on the new Hiro model sans armor. I'll upload the current progress soon (we've mapped Romero's face to it   .
We are also creating a new face texture, so we won't be using Romero's, but it looks damn funny.

I just want to tell everyone here that I really appreciate your generosity. You guys are great to talk to, and I see now why I like this forum board.
Thanks everyone! You rock!

UPDATE:
Dark_Photon recently told me that the dynamic time travelling feature wouldn't work in Quake III. As an alternative, we might have it where the player gets warped to a 'hub', then chooses where to go next. I don't know about the idea though...sounds complicated.
UPDATE 2:
Daikatana! In Jedi Knight II, we replaced the lightsaber with a placeholder Daikatana and had some very good ideas...see if you know what I am thinking about.

No    but how Kyle weilds the lightsaber should be very similiar in how Ryla (or Hiro) weild the Daikatana. It would be cool.

So, you simply reskinned the lightsaber. How does that do anything?
