No, it's more of an action/RPG.

Commander Keen, Mario, and Tomb Raider aren't real adventure games either, although Tomb Raider is considered to be adventure in the loosest definition of the word.

I consider games like The Secret of Monkey Island, Space Quest, Zork, or Myst to be adventure.  The ones where there is no action and relies mostly on solving puzzles that are generally pretty hard.  LucasArts adventures are the best.

I want to try Grim Fandango, especially after ruining Sam & Max Hit the Road, Indiana Jones & The Fate of Atlantis, and Day of the Tentacle with tip books.
What's the point of playing the game if you use a walkthrough type thing?  Doesn't that defeat the entire purpose of playing?

@Brick: Well if games like Zork and Myst are adventure games, then I haven't played adventure games. Ever.

@satori: Well, satori, I really didn't tell you anything about TLJ2, so how could it sound great?

Same, and same. I'm glad I won it, or I might not have played the full game, and would have missed out

You won it? How?

I remember showing CheapAlert a screen of the girl's gargoyle buddy and he expressed a measure of dissatisfaction with it's appearance.
