What do you think of fixed size?

Is there any way to set an avatar to your own size, up to a certain point? For example, let's say the max is 80 by 80, is there any way for one user to use an avatar that's, say, 50x50? Because my avatar seems stretched out and this size, and it's a default forum one. Otherwise, it looks very good

Yeah, I actually thought the fixed size was a maximum, but it forces image size. If we get Vb I think it's possible to set a maximum rather than just force uniformity, but I'm not sure. Your best bet is to make your avatar square and 100x100 with this setting....like I did [ November 02, 2003, 03:29 AM: Message edited by: chiQ ]

I'm for a fixed size. There should also be a fixed image size in the signature.

Now lets not get horny, I think we don't need a avatar size. As you can see all my avatars are quite small due to the fact I like my board in a some what uniform manner. But lets keep the size issue free just don't let people make them too big. I have to make my collection of images bigger and I don't have the bitmaps to edit. Most people on this board has nice sized avatars theres just a few that continualy fill the page with needlessly huge images.

Do as You wish Romero put you in charge so its your call. If any thing I think the Avs could use to be smaller. Like I said if every oe had the descency to just use moderate sized avatars then our images would not be so stretched today. [ November 02, 2003, 01:00 PM: Message edited by: Technician ]

Ah! I'd have to fix up the forum default avatars to fit. That's not so complicated Nothing is final yet though, so I'll leave everything for now. Keep your views coming guys. [ November 02, 2003, 02:25 PM: Message edited by: chiQ ]

Yeah, that'd be nice, but as I said, this boardware doesn't support that.
