Anyone here own the Atari Jaguar? It's one of the coolest old-school systems ever.
I also have the Sega Master System and the 32xCD. It's great!

FYI: There's a "What consoles do you own?" thread so you can find out what people own.

I'm pretty sure there are a few Jaguar fans around.

I have an Atari Jaguar (explained in the 'Consoles that you own' thread) and yea its cool. The ports for DOOM and Wolfenstein were good (the only problem with Jag DOOM was that it didnt include all the PC levels and no In-level music)

Doom for Jag was definitly better and smoother than the 3do version. Art Data did a horrible port of DOOM. Heck, I think if Art Data put a little effort into the DOOM 3DO port, it might have been smoother and it could of been as good, if not better than the Jag version.

I thought the Sega32X version of DOOM could've been a little better developed, because the cart I originally bought did not work with the 32X (I think it needed the Sega CD system).
But all in all, Jaguar DOOM was an okay port. Now, if you want to talk kick-ass, the DOOM port for Dreamcast rocked!
If only we can port Catacomb 3d to the damn thing

...nope. Ya either got a bad cartridge or a bad 32X. More often than not, it's the latter.

Try this link:

Don't bother with the rest of the site. It's the Sonic equivalent of DoomWorld.

Dont forget to mention THE Jag title: Alien vs Predator. Remember im frightened and wet with cold sweat while playing. One of the rare exclusive titles, and one with atmosfear.
By far better looking as the 2 years later released Alien Trilogy for PSX/Saturn/PC.
For example, the Facehugger on your face is a facehugger, not a pixelated something.

They had that for the Jaguar? I'll look it up--sounds interesting. Any place where I can buy it?

Actually, the only good part of 3DO DOOM is the soundtrack - it's great.

Is the soundtrack just the original music remixed, or is it entirely original?
