Odd. My p2 233MHz and p166MHz can run milkshape 3d without any hassle if you're concerned about the "wimpy" part. Try opening up DXDIAG and disable DirectDraw acceleration. This will force OpenGL software rendering, believe it or not. See if it works then.

Oh!  I thought you guys were using these super gaming rigs!  Maybe I should try it on my 233?  I'll try disabling Direct Draw on this one first.  That "unknown" module reference threw me...  Thanks Cheapy!

Lol!  MS3D is running great on my ole Gateway p2 233 w/196 megs ram and ATI Rage II.  I'll just run the help file on the 133 next to it and see what I can do.

This 233 turned up in early 97.  It has an integrated Rage and the sound card is an SB16.  It's been a great machine, a real work horse!  We've been using it as a Quake server. ¶=0)

Hmm... the Rage II is 92MHz (Banshee being 100MHz).. and the SB16 is like an Awe64 without the Soundbank synthesizer... so I guess we're close. I suppose that's PC100 memory also?

My bios is dated 11/11/97!

Oh a Banshee!  You must have installed that, I don't recall that being an option.  This 233 doesn't even have a AGP slot.  I either got it at the very end of 97 or early 98.  Memory is PC100.

My p2 233 has an AGP slot, but it doesn't work with my Geforce2/Kyro2/Voodoo3 3500TV so I guess the AGP tech was far too early (AGP1X?)

My bios is Award Modular v4.51 (c)1997

Got MS3D to run on my main machine!  I went to their message board and someone had the same problem.  All I had to do was download Mesa31.dll zip file and dump it's contents into the executable's folder.  Wow, everything looks so nice an chrome!  Things are going much faster now.
