i've seen many phpBB powered fora to have a quick reply feature (a small box at the end of each thread to post a reply quickly without having to go to a separate page). It's very helpful, especially when you are behing a loaded connection :-P.


Can we enable that feature here too?

This is actually a fairly easy thing to implement.  I put one in my own forums, and it required modifying only three files.  If you want to set this up I can email you the mod file.

Seriously, at this point I'd be willing to give finely diced pieces of my anatomy to see this feature implemented.  Or cash, right?  Everyone likes cash.  Put in a quick reply feature, and I'll see about getting you some cash.  Nice, nice, cash.

Easy to find. ;)  I should have replied sooner but I guess I didn't see this topic.. anyway here you go:

or if you want to see some other similar ones, which probably mostly aren't as good as that one in my opinion as it sounds: search results.

Please note that to install this you'll need FTP access, a Notepad equivalent, and to be willing to do a few minutes of work.  Quick Reply mods are easy to install and should only take about one or two files to be edited I think, in comparison to other mods which can take half an hour or longer.

Yeah, he's probably a pretty busy man though seeing as how he rarely posts here anymore.. I'd do it myself for you guys, but like I said, it requires FTP access, and FTP access requires an incredible amount of trust-- I wouldn't give that kind of access to anyone here if I were him except to maybe ChiQ since she's also a recognized admin.
