If anyone is interested in doing some low-level modelling (or high-level) for the newest incarnation of the Daikatana games, please add me to your AIM list and let's talk business.
You must know how to model in either .md2 (quake II) or .md3 (Quake III). Help is very appreciated.

Thanks again.

I still think you guys are full of it.

First off, you've got a virtually empty and useless "website" (and I say website with reservation).

Second, you haven't even given sufficient evidence in this post or elsewhere that you have actually done anything other than write a cute story.

Last, from the looks of it, you have a cute quake3 mod in store for at least one of these so called games.  That's not exactly a game.  If you've licensed the Quake3 Engine, then I'll give you some respect, but a Quake3 Mod? That's just funny.

Not to mention the whole "3dfx Interactive" which is first owned by nvidia and second a stupid name to give to something that doesn't produce hardware or software protocols.

Provide some evidence and then maybe I or someone else whos skilled and versed in the things you want might actually help in development.

I don't think I'm alone in thinking you guys are full of it.  Not considering how popular your other posts around here have been.

I'm not sure you've been keeping up with the development here, Asskoala. We're using both Quake II and Quake III engines, and we have posted sufficient evidence in conference rooms. They've been all over the Rome.ro icq stuff, i guess.
Look, contact me by AIM and I will show you personally a build of the game, and why it isn't vaporware.

I'll contact you via AIM, but according to your "website", you're building a mod on the Quake3 engine.  You haven't actually licensed the Quake3 Engine.

Quake2 Engine is Open Source, so I can believe that.

They're modding a clone of the Quake3 engine. Q3razorFX I believe. It's opensource and not using any illegal code.

Well, I wont believe it until I see it.

The AIM name is defunkt, at least as accessable from this forum, much like the website, the forums on ice-d, and everything else associated with this "project".

As a side note, I've heard of that Q3 Engine, but I can't seem to find it on google.

Note that I would gladly say I was incorrect if I should find out otherwise.

EDIT: Must have been a bug with the transition from the old forums to the new.  The AIM name ain't defunkt on the ice-d forums.

AssKoala, I've got the chief title of negative naysayer here, so we'll have to have a fight to the death now to determine who is really more negative and critical about this game.

I just finished chatting with Corbin about DK2/3/etc.

First, let me say, I was harsh, but at this point, I still believe I'm not being too harsh.  This my opinion, so don't anyone take it personal.

At this point I was given some information regarding just what was done and will be done.

I can definitively say that factoring in the 90% rule, I'd say they are about 3-5% done.  10% at most.  Now I respect Corbin's request to keep the actual innards under-wraps, but that is my opinion, rather my assessment.  So take it as you will.

There are plenty of areas that are still "shakey" to me.  As such is actual engine completion and actual work done.

I still have huge reservations, but I guess its plausible to say its not complete vaporware.  Whether or not it will end up being one of the many version 0.2 projects on sourceforge, I can't say.

Corbin, don't take this as a personal assault or attack.  This is my opinion from what I saw.

Prove me wrong.  I'd love to play the games as they sound rather interesting.

I'm not being negative, I'm just being direct.  So don't worry about your title Pyros :P

Fair enough, however, I must mention that nobody else came there (except for a couple of people) and was rather bland, lowering everyone's interest level.
As a matter of fact, we're a little farther than you think, Asskoala. I respect your judgement and all, but if you be patient, content will come.
Another chat session about DK series is going to be held tonight 9:00 PM PST, or around it. Please, if you're interested, attend as most of my team are geared up for it. Bring anyone you like, and there will be exclusive information to reveal, but none of it leaves the room. If you need to reach me (will be hosted on AIM) my sn is corbinchu, so just add me to your list and I'll happily bring you in, for further proof.
Yea, Asskoala, sorry about the blandess. It was just me and him, and I really didn't feel like answering a lot in detail on what he had in mind. But I did answer some of his most pressing questions, which makes me wonder why you didn't ask anymore for further proof, but I guess that was all that was needed, at the time.
Like I said, an exclusive chat session for everyone here at Rome.ro for specific details about the project...heh, even a screenshot or two.
So if interested, please stop by!
