This section is in need of some fresh news!

I noticed the lack of posts here, so I wanted to revive this section a little bit.
Um, interesting news about Daikatana music, since people wanted to know what kind of music will be featured in it...we happened to stumble across some remakes of the Rocky theme song "Eye of the Tiger", and we went straight to the producers, and they let us use the music for that and the remakes for "ShadowCaster". I don't know, maybe you wanted to know that, maybe not. We also got permission from "Power of Seven" (Oni) to use the music from the game; Bungie didn't mind, either. Um, we are planning on remaking some of the Daikatana tunes for "Soul Blade". I also got permission from my uncle who's in this band called "Bloodshot", and they (believe it or not) did some DOOM remakes on their CD (Demons, Gore, Addictions, or something like that). They sound vaguely familiar to the first episode and some other episodes with rockin music, so I asked the band and they said they did some remakes (I believe the word for it would be "inspired" since they didn't go to id for it). Doom music remakes = ~hint~. We also got some numerous bands from my college to do some rock music for ShadowCaster...but the music from Soul Blade is pretty much under wraps; I hope you guys will like what we have in mind.
Anyways, that's an update for this daikatana section...so stop playing Doom3, damnit!
Oh yea---I got Doom3 and Daikatana in the mail on the same day. Guess which one I finished first? ~hint: not Doom~. Kudos to Romero for making a game that lived up to the hype in every way.

I'm the lead designer for Shadowcaster. i went over music deals with everyone and got permission for the remake of "eye of the tiger." yet the production is slow for Shadowcaster it's coming along. The power of seven sounds pretty good to me.

Do you care to explain though how you checked the digital signature file as you claimed, and then contacted the band to get their permission, but got the wrong group? Because the file itself says the Royal Philoharmonic Orchastra, so I am not quite clear on how you could mess that one up.

Unless, of course, you were lying about getting permission to use it. Which wouldn't suprise me, you seem to get a lot of popular franchises somehow. Resident Evil, Daikatana, 3DFX, Eye of the Tiger. How do you do it?

Corbin invited me into the chat to discuss the song, and then he sent it to me to ask my opinions on it. I recognized it, owning the CD myself. So in all reality, he is the one who got me involved.
However, if you do like their music, I recommend their " Queen Collection Played By The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra". It's a great CD.

You invited me into a chat to discuss the song. And not only that, but it just shows that your licenses are very suspicious. If anyone here actually believes you, they certainly have the right to know. And I do respect your privacy, which is why I haven't posted the chat logs when me and AssKoala made up fake and unbelievable features in the Quake 2 engine to see if you knew enough to disprove us.
