Just posted to tell you all that you're all welcome to come over and visit at my boards...finally got them up.
http://www.fpinteractive.info/forums
I hope to see some of you there, and look forward to making some friends over there as well. This isn't about my games or anything...just an all around forum to talk in.
I'll see some of you there (if you want)!

I might just visit some.

No offense John Romero and the moderators, but these forums are REALLY becoming a bore........   :?

Not many interesting threads have been coming along, and the same threads have been replied to for about a week or more!

Nah, it isnt because of the members or anything, just the lack of active posters and stuff makes this place slightly boring because it takes so long for any new interesting threads to pop up.

Every time I check back, the same threads are still here, and are being replied to - and most of them are boring!!!

:(

I've been to many forums where theres too much posting per hour, and those are worse overall, as you need to spend ages reading up on your replies, etc new posts, and threads, and it ends u taking too much time, one example is the talkbass forum (biggest bass forum on net), its awesome if you want lots of quick replies, but I could never be a memebr lasting long there, there's TOO many topics per hour, and thenyou start going crazy   I prefer slower forums ;)

Yeah, I hear you.
We're trying to have variety without overkill...check some of it out if you'd like.
These forums still rock though.  :)

To me it's about quality not quantity.

You want highly active forums?  Go to gamedev or [H].  But they're full of complete morons who totally drown out the knowledgeable people.

I don't find these forums boring; they actually free me from my Boredom.
I wouldn't want it to have replies every second because just as JRW said, it would be BORING having to take the time to read up on what you missed, and just as AssKoala said, "it's about quality not quantity"

well said :P

here's the website for TalkBass,
http://www.talkbass.com/forum/index.php?

its the best Bass website on the net, becuase theres always people to ask all sorts of questions, and many people there are fanatics / experts, some owning each up to 20 basses   I've seen people with 4 string basses to 12 string. So for me it was perfect when I needed to ask what beginninger bass and pedal I should get, I got tons of resposnce, Im very happy with them for it.

this is only the bass section of that site, look how many subsection there are
http://www.talkbass.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=45

remeber there's other sections, and if you stick around for 30 min, you'll see how the topics keep getting added, / replied to within minutes, for me i'd only visit back and use th search, but there's no way I could be the full time, its way way way too big, I don't know how the big posters do it there, as they would have to spend a hell lot of time browsing, and thats for the bass guitar section alone.
