No offense John Romero and the moderators, but these forums are REALLY becoming a bore........   :?

Nah, it isnt because of the members or anything, just the lack of active posters and stuff makes this place slightly boring because it takes so long for any new interesting threads to pop up.

Every time I check back, the same threads are still here, and are being replied to - and most of them are boring!!!

--Most of the "boring" threads you talk about in my opinion are started by people like you.

--I dont see why youre complaining, since even in the "Boring" posts, you still have like 7 or 8 things to say.

--Perhaps you would like to elaborate on exactly what a boring post consists of??

Ditto Matt.

I never find these forums "boring". While there may not be tons of activity, it's better than getting lost in forums and never finding your posts, that annoys the hell outta me.

Boring? No.

Chubz you're the last person I thought would find them boring... You always have lots to say!

I don't find these forums boring; they actually free me from my Boredom.
I wouldn't want it to have replies every second because just as JRW said, it would be BORING having to take the time to read up on what you missed, and just as AssKoala said, "it's about quality not quantity"

well said :P

here's the website for TalkBass,
http://www.talkbass.com/forum/index.php?

its the best Bass website on the net, becuase theres always people to ask all sorts of questions, and many people there are fanatics / experts, some owning each up to 20 basses   I've seen people with 4 string basses to 12 string. So for me it was perfect when I needed to ask what beginninger bass and pedal I should get, I got tons of resposnce, Im very happy with them for it.

this is only the bass section of that site, look how many subsection there are
http://www.talkbass.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=45

remeber there's other sections, and if you stick around for 30 min, you'll see how the topics keep getting added, / replied to within minutes, for me i'd only visit back and use th search, but there's no way I could be the full time, its way way way too big, I don't know how the big posters do it there, as they would have to spend a hell lot of time browsing, and thats for the bass guitar section alone.

Wow... for some reason I thought you were talking about the fish bass, not the guitar bass. Stupid english language... :P

True.......that was definetely stupid of me to say.

This place is indeed very cool, but the only reason I have alot to say is because I have a big-ass mouth that likes to talk alot!
