Could you offer a solution?

Recently, I've sat down with a best friend, talked it over with her, and I just found out a couple of days ago that I'm Metro...but I'm not sure, I want to ask you guys here and see what you think of it.

I'm trusting you guys to take this seriously, however...
Definition: straight male with close ties to urban life and vanity. Also has narcistic tendancies, etc.
Definition 2?:  straight man who embraces the other lifestyle, i.e. refined tastes in clothing, excessive use of designer hygiene products, etc.

1) I purchase girl clothing, which is no big deal, because some kids at school wear them anyways. I've gotten used to wearing my girlfriend's jeans and my girlfriend buys them for me on a regular basis.
2) I don't really have any tendancies of same-sex attraction though, so I would be disqualified in that section.
3) The definition also says that if I was Metro, I'd never drive a truck. I drive a truck, a small pickup, though ironically, have stickers of girls, girls together, etc etc. I don't really endorse the idea of that, but my step mom is a lesbian, my cousin is bisexual, and my best friend she's also bisexual...i don't know if this would have to do with anything.
4) I change my clothing style every now and then but I'm reeaaaall iffy on what I want to or like to wear, I never noticed that. My friends never understood why I was like that, I just though it was my taste. But it wasn't...
5) I own lots of pairs of shoes for a matching style of clothing, and I own a lot of different clothes, styles, and of course, girl items.
6) I can make good food but I'm usually too lazy to do it and would rather eat out. I eat out every day now (except when I'm at work).
7) I'm not big on my hair, but when I am, I have to have it perfect, I'll sit in front of the mirror for tens of minutes fixing my damn bangs.
8) I'm not goth and don't wear piercings...

So I'm not sure. Also...uh, something happened awhile back that could've swayed me towards this but I'm not sure, I would rather not talk about that, but it's a possibility.
So, as friends, can somebody help me figure out if this is true? I took an online test and it confirmed that I'm definitly metro but some of my friends debate this.
I appreciate your maturity in this situation, I owe you all one.

I personally would say you are metro.

There is nothing wrong with it... Infact, many girls like metrosexuals! Most guys are assholes to girls... I know 2 metrosexuals, and they are VERRRRY popular with the ladies.

Yes, I left that out, I get along with girls very well, and am good friends with a lot of them. I seem to have this "ability" to relate to them very well.

While I, on the other hand, am very unpopular with the ladies. ^_^

A girl who wants a really good guy friend to talk to when she's feeling down or to talk to when something good happens to her. It hasn't treated me well in the past, but in High School, my later years, being confident in yourself and be who you are scores you points. Even my girlfriend gets jealous that I do the things I do with other girls. She recently got mad at me for talking with a group of them for a looong time and avoiding her. I had to explain to her that I was just "talking business" or something...

Like, I don't act girly or anything of the sort, usually quiet until I feel hyper, so ya...

Ah, quiet eh? Yeah, my friend is like that... He's popular with the ladies too.

Wait... Do you use shampoo and conditioner to make your hair shiny and fluffy? :P

Depends on if it's long or not. If it's long, then of course, and I use a damn blowdryer to get those freaking curls straight, but when it's short I don't give a damn...I usually don't care what gel i put in my hair when it's long but I will sit there forever to get my hair to stop curling and my bangs to straighten out.

I be he uses Dove :D. Half the people here who use shampoo probably switched to Dove after hearing that The Romero uses it.

Theres nothing wrong with being metro (or anything else for that matter, just don't be assertive and force it on others!). Just be you! :D

I hate Dove, it's a crappy shampoo, really...it is... ;). I find myself to not agree with Romero on a LOT of things, and there's no need to suck up.
But basically, yeah, people have already told me to be myself...hopefully nobody else makes fun of me or tries anything funny on me...i'd be quite upset ;)

i know this isn't the sort of advice you were looking for, but seriously... labels... who needs them? you're who you are, and it sounds like you're happy with that, so i wouldn't worry about whether or not you're a metrosexual. i fit some of the characteristics too, but then i don't fit others... so i don't worry either way.

i often wear a power puff girls t-shirt. it's blue, but all the same, i think that's probably as metro as you can get, but i don't use designer hygeine products. i drive a small car for the mileage and ideally want a Smart car, which is probably as metro as anything. no piercings or make up for me though. i have foppish hair a lot like leon in RE4, if my work didn't forbid it i'd be changing hair colour every few weeks...very metroesque... i love cooking... only 3 pairs of shoes though and one of them i own because i have to for work. the spark's gender quiz is still convinced i'm a girl because of how my brain works. but then, i hardly ever buy clothes, people literally  have to make me... yet i'll watch japanase Anime aimed at teenage girls like Love Hina and Azumanga Diaoh and cry without shame... but can't stand 'girl movies' or 'rom coms'.

i think all that matters at the end of the day, is that you know who you are and you're confident being yourself. whatever definition  or label someone else makes up doesn't have any bearing on that whatsoever.

my undying love for Bubbles.

that's a joke by the way. in all seriousness i love the show, and i love t-shirts that are confrontational without showing swear words, gore or nudity... be that disturbing images or the powerpuff girls.

i got into the show because Bis, were one of my favourite bands around the time it started airing, and i read they'd done the themesong, so i tuned in and liked what i saw. Bis are probably Metrosexual too... they've split up since then and were never really seen as cool...

which is exactly what made them just that.
