Do any of you have any idea how I can use the radical dreamers translator on my macintosh? I have snes9x as my emulator, and I can run the game itself but the translator is being a real pain.
To translate it, you'll need a program to apply the translation patch. That, or you can just download an already-patched version.
You see, normally the way you do it is this:
1. Download original Japanese (or other language) ROM
2. Download an IPX patch for it. This contains the translation data. These aren't illegal (probably not anyway) so they can be found pretty easily.
3. Run a patching program-- I think one is called Lunar IPX or something (I don't remember exactly). You can find them somewhere on
www.zophar.net4. You tell the program the ROM filename and the IPX ("patch") filename.
5. It patches the ROM using the IPX data.
So you just need a patching program (step #3) that runs on Mac, otherwise you need to download an already-translated version of the ROM. If you have AIM, I can help with the latter.
