Don't say Sibelius, it's shit, and I hate it. :P

I'm looking for a program that can create varied genres of music.... And there isn't much else to say.

Where can I find such a program? :P

Fruity Loops is probably as good as they come (for free). But if you want something easier to learn (but harder in the long run), get ModPlug Tracker.

i heart fruity loops. For drum and bass stuff you can also get rebirth. If you want a sound program for all genres. you might want to get more than one type of software, one for this and one for that...

You could always try ModPlug. That was a kickass music program, Me and ZZT-X played around with it once and made a horrific song where it's basically a bunch of sounds that I made with the mircophone and gutair riffs..

If you're going to use ModPlug Tracker, you can get songs and samples from The Mod Archive.

I've been using MODPlug for years. Only recently have I started using FL, which is quite good for sequencing some loops and such. MODPlug works well for in-depth stuff, and if you're into making glitch electronica or Drill N' Bass akin to Aphex Twin, it'll blow your mind. For pretty much everything minus making, well, rock, it's good. Even then, you could program some wicked basslines and drums in it and then just record some guitar through your line-in. Buzz is alright, not quite my thing though, as I'm more of the "sampler" type. I love sampling things to make instruments - speaking of which, everybody using MODPlug should take it upon themselves to write a song using only PSDs (Photoshop Files), PNGs (PNG Images), DLLs, and EXEs... and WADs, if you want.
