Heres a little poem I wrote just now, I hope its good :) Ive never really considered myself to be a great poet, but i try lol

These lingering thoughts
Through moments
The beautiful melody stimulating my emotion
And emotion kindling my incessant passion,
Thriving for this purity
In a matter of time

And why, why I feel I can never express my loyalty
Yes, I realize the shame it’s brought upon me
Yet I’m soaring through this radiant sky of possibilities
Savoring the time spent,
The texture of the rain and the cleanliness of its scent
Eager to find meaning in this broad new world
In a matter time

A matter of time until I reach its glory
A matter of faith until its beauty is understood
A matter of time until attaining this influence
Every thought is for a moment and every moment is for this thought
To be enlightened by this purity, this distance of opportunity
A moment of tranquility, a moment I long for
In a matter of time

Good job woodthunder. You have a way with words and making them work. I would like to see more you have a great ambition for writing. Keep it up. Here is one I wrote within 5 minutes last night. I don't know how good it will be.
-A Day To Remember-  1:14AM July 10,2005 #238
I walked around the water’s edge
Watching the glistening sun.
I was hand in hand with him
My world could never be so perfect…..
We kept glancing in each others eyes,
Always knowing what’s wrong,
And what’s right…

We had finally made the first move
 To kiss each other,
And savor the moment in time.
Time stood still.
I never felt a movement of the earth below me.
After the moment finished we blushed and turned.
A single moment in time,
Stopped the spinning earth below our feet.
Then that day,
He got down on one single knee,
And asked me to marry him.
I said yes,
As I glanced into his beautiful eyes,
I knew it was right,
That it was absolutely meant to be.

No one could change my mind,
Not with as much as we were in love.
He knew that I would give everything to be with him,
And I knew the same was true for him.
I had never felt happier,
On that day to remember.

Here's another, its not long.

For every time I hear the tone there is a calling
When I feel I’ve found you I’m falling
In the shadows with nothing to see but the fire in your eyes
I whisper a prayer
Wishing they would close and end my despair
Coming closer as your tears put out the flame
A kiss, a relief, and shame.

Here's one:

I bought the rifle
the day before yesterday
I saw the duck
So calmly.. so gracefully
Swimming on the water's surface

I aimed my rifle, and held my breath
As time stood still
I knew I had my first kill
I slowly squeezed the trigger
KAPOW
The duck sunk.

It's about time I contributed something :P

Living underground, staring into a sheet of light for most of the day was more glorious than it may seem.  Well, at least in William's mind.  Gracefully tapping his fingers on lettered keys, he was changing the world.  Not our world, mind you, but rather the world of Akalbalon, a place that existed in the computers and imaginations of about three hundred people.
William, or should I say "Kobor the Valiant", was a level seventy-three Knight of Marruke.  If anyone got in his way, he'd click on them between handfulls of pretzels and chips until they were slain.  The ladies in Akalbalon loved Kobor; William didn't have as good of luck with women in the real world.
But he shrugs it off!  He had more important things to worry about, like obtaining the Blade of Kali and slaughtering the high elves!  He downed the last of his Mountain Dew, gripped his mouse, and continued his adventures into the unknown.

I might revise it or add more later :P Feedback!
