Me: late-20's, Romero and id fan since Wolfenstein 3D. Single-player DOOM fanatic, not into deathmatching as of yet. Playstation collector, desperately seeking a new/mint copy of DOOM Custom Playstation Edition.

Problem: I have Ubuntu Linux 5.04 (Hoary Hedgehog) for a x86 Intel PC. I have the latest Debian PrBoom package installed with the commercial WAD for DOOM II, which I legally own about 6 times over.

The game appears to work flawlessly, but I cannot get any sound effects or music and I cannot figure out how to resize the screen for full-screen mode. I am a Linux/PrBoom noob, still learning the basics of UNIX and Linux, so if anyone can help with "warm milk and cookies"-like instructions, I would be eternally grateful.

Mr. Romero: Thank you for helping to create the greatest video game of all time. Thank you for all the sleepless nights straining my retinas to DOOM. Thanks also for being an inspirational figure to a generation (or more) of misunderstood freaks and geeks. Good luck with your future endeavors.

EDIT: punctuation...
