I was at Quakecon. My 3rd one. I don't think I saw you though, Kha0s.

As for the Quake 4 build. The speed I think makes Quake what it is. And Quake 4 has a nice blend. it's not as fast as Quake 3. but on the other hand it's not as slow as Quake 2. But everything felt right about it, from the guns, to the map.

Also, no more obituaries! Now you have the whole [fragger] [weapon icon] [fragged] like in HL. Just a little thing I noticed about it. Although I like the obituaries.

From playing it, I was actually surprised that a fast game like Quake 4 could be done on the DOom 3 engine. I never pictured something with speed done w/ that engine.

And it was just plain fun. That's what matters.
