This is cool as hell.  Innovative and yet will still cater to third party developers.  the possibilities with this thing are endless.

I begin to wonder more and more about Nintendo over the years ... however, I also had a similar shocked reaction to the N64 controller when I first saw it.    My exact words were, "What the hell are they thinking?  A thumb stick?  I hate arcade sticks," but when I saw and played Super Mario 64, I knew only one thing.  I wanted an N64.

That looks really cool!  Way better than the rumors about it just being a touch screen.  I imagine that it would be awkward to play with one hand though.

Does this mean Nintendo's getting some adult titles?

I've been using the DualShock design for so many years now (along with the 64 controller for a brief period) that I couldn't imagine using anything else, especially a controller so different as that one.

And yes, the PS3 "Boomerang" controllers look ridiculous. I hate the damn things already and I haven't even picked one up.

Well, it's better than playing with a DVD player's remote control.

Looking at it again, I'm picturing people getting into the game, jerking the controllers this way and that while playing, and eventually breaking the cord that connects them. I'm seeing a lot of replacement controllers flying off of store shelves, unless Nintendo was stupid (on an economic level) and made the cord detachable. It doesn't look detachable in the prototype pictured.

People are always a little scared when it comes to learning new things, but the Nintendo Revolution's controller actually looks pretty interesting, like the DS I think there will be a lot of innovation with games designed for it and that makes the future really interesting...

I'm pretty sure the two pieces detach from one another.

Actually there was a leaked picture of a hand holding the PS3 controller and it looks pretty good, it's much smaller than expected.  I never really like the Playstation controllers though.

Actually, the cord is just part of an add-on.
