Oh, okay.  Also, I had thought that the wavebird had some sort of proprietary, special rechargable battery (like the ipod), so, sorry about that.

I wish the Sega Nomad did...

Boy...The money I spend on AA's for that thing.  It's worth it ;).

I shouldn't have said anything.  batteries died tonight while playing metroid prime 2.

I got the wavebird in february of 04.  Looking at 1 year 7 months with the same set of batteries.

Amazing.

I watched an interesting video discussion on IGN last night, and one of the points put forward was the fact that lots of games that are good for the controller, but not good games, are likely to appear on the scene early on.

I think you need more than a wierd controller for a revolution.

Controller = gameplay
Fast gfx = graphics

I think that at the end people will prefer better gameplay than better graphics. At least as long as the platform has games available for it. Nintendo has a bad reputation on getting titles for their consoles, because as good as it may be, i won't get a Revolution only to play Metroid.

But if that what the article says happens and Revolution becomes "the platform for shooters", then it'll become my favourite device :-). After using Nintendo DS i'm very positive on them. I mean, i always saying that playing a FPS would not be possible in a portable device - let alone without a mouse. But i was able to use (and used to) DS's controlling for the Metroid demo in minutes.

And all those kids who still make fun of me for playing on my Dreamcast...Nintendo will show them I'm right!

The Dreamcast controller was my all time favorite...I'm glad something finally was able to surpass it!

Let's face it, DC is the only system that allowed you to use every funtion of the controller at once, even the D-Pad to an extent.

Nintendo and Sega - More buttons isn't always better.

Sony and Microsoft - Keep slapping more and more buttons on it, so by the time the user gets up to take a leak he'll be unable to find his wang in the confusion.

Speaking of that, where is my wang?

I believe it's tangled in a big knot around an assortment of buttons, triggers, and joysticks, but I've yet to find it.

Maybe that's why everybody at school has dubbed me "Controller dick".   :?

It's a tomb that essentially states that while Microsoft and Sony have only cared about graphics in the past decade, Sega and Nintendo mainly cared about gameplay and put graphcis as more of a side issue.

And there is no denying that.

In what way?  No one cares about processors anyway.

They only care about seeing Kasumi's tits with touble the poly counts, bump mapping, etc.

Thanks, but no thanks.  I prefer real women.  You know...Ones that aren't playing volleyball and fighting over a bunch of circuits and Best Buy.
