I still lose my cookie with Mozilla, Mozilla Firefox, Seamonkey and other Gecko-based browsers (and probably with other browsers -call me Opera- but i haven't tested them since i don't like them :-P), no matter what computer i use (f.e. right now i'm at a netcafe).

Since this doesn't happen with other fora (even phpBB-based), i assume that there is something wrong with this particular one (a server or phpBB misconfiguration perhaps?).

Losing the cookie is a bad thing: when i log in and the browser loads the index page again, i get logged out (because of the lost cookie) and i lose all entries in View posts since last visit (browsing the forums by-hand is a hard task since i don't remember which posts i've read and which not).

I have more details - that's happening to me when I'm logging in from work (corporate T1 line, IE 6) but not at home (56k, Firefox 1.6).

[EDIT: Sorry, I'm getting WAY ahead of myself. It's Firefox 1.0.6]

Doesn't happen to me.  I use IE6 and IE7.

That happens to me on other computers but not on my own.  I use Firefox on my own computer, and the other computers I've tried use other browsers often.

It also happens with IE6 too :-(

@cheapalert:
That would work, but.... this is a fresh installation of Firefox so it doesn't have any cookies :-P.

Edit: i think that for some reason the "expire" attribute of the cookie gets expired too early.

The same thing happened to me, i always had to log in twice, which was a pain... I just deleted all my cookies, and it had fixed the problem...

Im using Firefox, and if i dont delete my cookie before i log in, i have to log in twice... i checked the cookie expiry date and its set for 12 months... I have no idea why deleting the cookie before loggin in works...

There is a problem with corrupted cookies for some unknown reason... I always had to log in twice, but if i delete the old cookie before i log in, i can log staright in with no problems... I have now got my browser setup to delete all cookies on exit...
