It's got the same set up as all other games. It has the lean left and right which has been around for ages. If you don't like them simply unmap them and don't use them

fear has no original ideas too. all it has - boring offices/warehouses and good ai. thats it.

yea, besides the standard fps control keys, separates for flashlight, somo, melee, blah blah blah. almost felt like i was playing flight sim (they tend to use almost whole keyboard).

Tim Willits will stay because he's got as much talent as hair on his head, Todd Hollenshead will stay because he never gets in Carmack's way, that leaves Kevin Cloud because he's old and cannot work as hard as he used too, F.E.A.R. at least had a story and good AI, something DOOM III and ID software games has never had.

He's got a good point...I've read MASTERS OF DOOM, and it seems that Carmack's afraid of doing something amazing and powerful with his engine...it seems that Romero leaving has really affected the company.
And about the story thing...they wanted you to be scared in Doom 3, scared like hell, but don't know why.
Yeah, they should employ me on (See my Game Ideas! board in the Creativity Postings). I mean, I'm working on a script for my DOOM 4 thing, but I might scrap the "Total War" thing for squads or something...after all, you're supposed to be afraid...
And about FEAR...heck yeah, the gameplay, graphics and stuff are groundbreaking but the levels are repetitive and when you run through a room and see it dripping with blood and bones and hear your headset chattering then you see a sign that says 'Please help us keep this room clean' - it kinda kills the mood.
And the levels could be a lot scarier as well, with supernatural stuff like shadows lurking around the next corner in twisted shapes or things moving past foggy windows or doors moving by themselves or that kinda stuff...to you know, show off the engine some more.
But I can't really complain. After all, for all we know it might have been BANNED if it was too scary! Or not.
