Last night I had to run to Wal-Mart for a few things and noticed they have a 360 set up with a demo disc. Yeah, needless to say I dropped everything and ran over there. Spent about 45 minutes with it. Liked what I saw, even though nothing I played was terribly original.
Anyhow, have any of you preordered? I didn't, but then again my sole reason for owning one at launch (Elder Scrolls IV) has been pushed back to February.
The system is nice however. I'll definitely pick one up eventually

Yeah, one of the only reasons I feel I need to get an Xbox 360 is for Elder Scrolls IV. I thought about waiting for the PC version to come out, but I doubt that thing will run good on anyone's system.
I don't like to build excitement up over a video game anymore. Usually, when the game finally comes out, it's never as good as I'd imagined. I'll wait for all of the reviews to come out (and also the price to lower) before buying another game.

I second the opinion to purchase Elder Scrolls IV, even tho I never bought III. I'm also gonna get Quake 4. Aside from that, I dunno, depends if anything else is worth getting.

I'm not really planning on getting any next gen systems. But I'll still play new PC games.

You should get Elder Scrolls III for the Xbox. You could probably find it cheap now. It's probably the most addicting game I've ever played.

Well, after going back (again) and playing the Call of Duty demo, I want one at launch. I didn't preorder so I'm going to end up one of those weirdos standing in line for 6 hours

I'm going to wait before making a decision on 360 or PS3. 360 is supposed to have homebrew things going for it (nice) through xbox live, but the PS3 is the PS3.. hard decision.

PS3 is going to have Metal Gear Solid 4! I wish that all games cost $30 and all consoles cost $100. And I wish that all consoles would include a game for **** sake! Remember the days when a console would include two controllers, a light gun, and at least one game? Those were the good old days.

Yeah,.. the PS1 at least always had a playable demo disk included for a while. You don't even get those anymore for any system.

Despite the "whos got the biggest todger" debate, I think the 360 and PS3 are both merely updates of the Xbox and PS2. And they do the same thing...
Being an owner of both PS1 and PS2 - as long as it has backward-compatability - I shall get a PS3 when its cheap enough.
