I was riding my unicycle down the road one day (yes, I seriously ride a unicycle), and all of the sudden a tune popped into my head along with a set of lyrics... Today, I decided to write down those lyrics, and I'm really curious as to what others might think of them, as they're really wierd and I've never done this before. Please lemme know what you think.  :)

Quote from: I
I am one,
I am all,
but I'm nothing at all.
I am only a part of your imagination-
A silly part of your nation.
I am everything you are,
And I am everything you're not.
But most of all:
I AM ME!
And you will never change me.
I will change your hopes and dreams
and make you see your world differently

I am something
I am nothing
Am I anything at all?
It's a wonder I'm still alive
And that I strive to stay that way.
Today.

EDIT: I know the rythm is a little messed up, I'm working on it, but this is the general gist of the poem/song.

 Yeah, the funniest part about it tho, I'm diagnosed with a mild Written Expression problem, so in all reality, this has NEVER happened before, and never this strongly. Hence the reason why I posted it. I don't know where it came from, what the inspiration was, or anything. It just flowed.

I would, but I lack the understanding of notes to really come up with something worth listening to.  :(  I also lack a proper utility to create it in the first place. If you can link me, I might experiment a bit and get back to you on that.

All you need is a computer mic, Windows Sound Recorder, and ModPlug Tracker.

Well, you can use anything besides ModPlug Tracker to make music, really, but I just love it so much :D

I refuse to sing anything out in public or over teh almightay entrarweb untill I get voice lessons and I can sing WELL. Untill then, you're just gonna have to deal with the melody I have for the vocals.

EDIT: I've also come to the realization that the version I have typed up here is total CRAP compared to what I actually remember..... Well, looks like it's back to the old drawing board for me :?

Soundforge is a good tool to tweak your voice a little bit, if your feeling a little bit self concious.

Meh, while I do have a copy of that, I believe I shouldn't have to from the start. To be honest, I know I can do it, I just need to get my voice trained, as I don't even know what tone, pitch, or variation of my voice to use when singing. I've got such a ranged voice it's hard for me to find something that I can travel the scale with, without having too much of a problem. When I do manage to find something, I usually end up singing like that for the rest of the day, but when I go to try it again the next day, I lose it :? Oh well, Just means I need lessons. The lyrics need A LOT of tweaking too, so if I ever do end up producing this, I'll make sure it's done right, the FIRST time. 8)
