Nice, that would be a cool game. $2,500 doesn't seem too high when you think about it.

$2,500 is way too much for a one-level video game.
It's too much for any video game. Hell, I'd put that money towards college. It would almost pay off a semester.

But for now, eyes will roll at how ridiculous it is to spend $2,500 on an incomplete game. Or on any game at all.

If I had $2,500, I'd buy that. I would upload it to the Net and put the original in a Safe Deposit Box at my local bank.
I can imagine that armed robbery...

I can say this will be great for both the Sonic and Scars community if this is dumped. People who horde these for them selves should be killed. If I bought this I would most defiantly give it to the community. Although I don't believe this to be real. I just hope some arrogant fan boy doesn't get this. But an accrual dedicated fan does.
If I caught this and I was 100% sure this was an actual game demo I would really consider buying this. I'm wondering what format this poor guy will get this on. Might not even be a playable disk, but an old cassette tape with an executable that’s not even emulated for the system yet. This depends on age of the build. Although any data found will be great for the fans. I'm assuming the article is right about "Demo" and this is an actual build. How ever we have seen many demos of this game on the net almost all of them have been simulated and are not real time.
Even better then an uncompiled engine would be uncompressed character and environment art. They had released all sonic sprites to the net, but most enemies and characters remain a mystery.
I'll wait for official word of the team before I believe this. So far the community hasn't reached this. Apparently.
EDIT:

the forum does have a story behind this after all.

Okay, heads up, this acquision happened back in September, and it has not, or will be uploaded, you have got to love cocksucking, moneygrubbing, selfish, dickhead collectors.
However, Chris Seann and one other team member have betas, for Saturn and PC. Keep your hopes up.
But the betas these two guys have in their personal collection are better anyway.
FYI my Saturn has a (yet to be installed modchip) and the Action Replay Plus 4M cart, so this is a big letdown for me. I could have a friend could solder in that modchip (easy to do), and pop in that cart, and voila! I can play a game burned to CD-R and made playable for Japanese Saturns.
$2,500. And he could not even contribute to society. What an ASSHOLE.

What sort of "contribution to society" would it be to give an incomplete game away for free so a handful of die-hard fans could play it for a short time?
