The Saturn version had two levels done before cancellation.

This was one of them.  It's much more of X-Treme than you could think, although it is a beta of the level.

The PC version had much more content.

And besides.  It's still a taste of X-Treme.  Isn't a taste enough?  It's fuckin', Sonic X-Treme dude.  It was never finished.  It's X-Treme like APPLESAUCE BARS WITH ENERGYTEK, for fucks sake!

Pffft. Rizimars. Whos needs em'.

This is the closest thing to actually trying something that had built up a community orgasm that just can't climax. I would love to finally see what this thing is like. I truly believe Sonic X-Treme wouldn't have been that great if finished, but the idea is still there.

I read a while back about how the lead programmer of SNES9X knows a guy who has a finished version of Star Fox 2.  Yes.  Finished.

The only thing it has is the framerate counter and debug enabled.  But it's so bug free, and so complete, it had to be a fully done version.

So why isn't it dumped?

It uses the SuperFX 2 chip.  Runs at 30fps with twice the visual quality of the other beta.

And both of these guys joined forces to program some SuperFX 2 emulation, but they just couldn't!

Dumping the ROM is totally, completely worthless.

X-Treme?  Nope.  Not a bit.  My Saturn can play it.

Wish I had some valuable prototypes to whore off. I do have a 5600 Super Pacman cart with eproms. But everyone can download that.
