And just TO THINK, the only more expensive part are the AA batteries!

Yeah, good luck finding a WiFi hotspot to use that on.   :P

At least in my area.... It's hilarious because the McDonalds around here began this WiFi thing and we actually had a little bit of it in our restaurants, but the morons (managers) in there couldn't even get it configured correctly, so you can imagine how long that "service" lasted.  Heh.

You guys probably have tons of WiFi hotspots around you, since I live in a fairly low populated area as it is.

Duuuude you have a LocationFree set, Satori?  Those things are expensive!  (I think $200)  Looks awesome though.  You can play PS2 on it if you wanted to, but from what I hear, that won't really work because there'd be a huge lag in keypress responses.  Still, that thing looks really sweet (just wish there were more wifi spots around, even in non-populated areas.. Madison has tons of 'em but La Crosse [pop. ~50,000] has some that I haven't been able to connect to, and my town has hardly any).

Sorry, didn't want to mislead you, I plan on buying one shortly. I live in Toronto and there are tons of wifi spots... still, it's less likely that I will use it here, more likely that I will use it if I go to a hotel which nearly all the large ones have wifi.. I am also bringing a wireless router in case it only has cat 5. Most hotels charge you crazy amounts of money to rent their movies... that or the local channels you have access to are horrible. My work laptop doesn't have a DVD drive on it so unless I feel like hauling out 2 laptops I'm done... the PSP is perfect for me for this reason.

sorry for the double post but it's been a few days and I have a little extra info. The Locationfree unit currently has a mail in rebate until the end of this month. In Canada it is selling for $299 Canadian (duh)... I was just viewing the list of compatible A/V devices and my PVR is listed in there so I can record all my shows on my PVR and get them anywhere on either my PSP or my laptop.  SWEEEET! Too bad I can't use realaudio on it or it would simply be perfect as I could listen to all my favourite BBC shows from the BBC website on to my PSP.
