Me being 15 currently, I got my first PC in 3rd grade when I was 9 in 2000.  Pentium III 550 Mhz.  I remember seeing my friend play Doom on his Playstation and I thought it looked fun so I searched online for Doom on the PC and lo and behold, Doom95 shareware.  I fire it up and first person shooters became my favorite game genre.  It was incredibly fun, blasting demons and all with the music.  Just recently (1 year go), me and a couple of my friends played through cooperative Doom, that was a blast, having your friends by your side while you when through Doom instead of just playing by yourself.  So after this experience,  I go out seeking Quake and I too played that through with a few friends.  Most atmospheric, beautiful, and immersive games I've ever played in a while.  I've had Quake III for a while which can't even compare to any other deathmatch game, it's so fast paced and flows so smoothly and Quake II was just awesome.  I've also played Wofl3D, was fun for the first few levels, but it got really frustrating with the mazes.  A few weeks ago, I fired up Wolf3D and I found I couldn't play because it was so pixelated and gave me headaches so I found this cool OpenGL Wolf3D port based on what looked like the Quake engine, very fun.
