I wanna turn.

Soon, i'm gonna crank out something new (yes, it's red and it has wings), but for now, feast your eyes on what I did last year:

I didn't do everything though. I made the model to start with, but since I sucked at UVW's, MoP did that. And since I sucked at animations, MoP did that.    And also since I sucked a little at modeling, MoP touched it up a little. The skin's totally mine and it's got a unique style that still love today, even as a WIP skin that's not so detailed I could call this final. Pretty satisfied with it.

Well, you're doin' better than me. All I've got so far is about 3 hours worth of a line drawing done.  Did you do the skin with Paint Shop Pro.?

JRW: MoP is another artist     and that's q3a's grneade launcher

Krado: Paint Shop Pro 5 and Milkshape3D 1.5.1.

A year after this I could pretty much do an entire player model by myself now.

Well, as you can see in the shot above MoP put him into Q3A. I've tried putting him into Half-Life (as constantly flying) but the gun was pointing in the wrong direction. I've tried Quake and it worked. Bascially if I put it in a game w/o skeletal animation it would work. I've only done this for Quake1 though.

I did give the jHeretic port of the model to jaako last year and we both lost it

i think of pocurse that gargoyle is based on the heretic 1 gargoyle, so therefore it implies that the Heretic 1 gargoyule is your favourite gargoyle of all time! more proff is , you always use it as your "hug me": grmelins, and sometimes your avatar is it or basede on it oo

Correct, but this model/skin's a take on a more stylized focus and I try to make it evil and cute at the same time (makes him huggable)

It is really a great work.
I like it very much Cheapy.
Are you good at drawing? I always have thought that you have to be good at drawing for being good at modeling so I never have tried modeling as I totaly suck at drawing.

Some of the best 3d modelers I know are absolutely terrible when it comes to illustration or simple sketching, as their mind has a hard time switching to a two dimensional medium.  That's not to say drawing skills aren't an important part of the process, they certainly can be (try explaining what you see in your head to a team without visuals), but they are something you can develop with hard work and practice.

Oh! I never thought it could be that way.
I am not sure of being able of thinking in 3D without do it before in 2D, that probably explains why I never finish my models.
