Yes, indeed it's true!  After around four months of development, Chubz in Space has been completed!

I would like to personally thank everyone here who has helped test the game and give feedback.  It has helped me a lot and I greatly appreciate it!  Also, if your name isn't in the credits and you helped give feedback/test the game, please don't be offended - I created the Credits screen in a hurry and without a list of names (which I should have created), so even if your name isn't listed:  THANK YOU!

For those of you unfamiliar with the game:
Chubz in Space is a 2D platformer borrowing elements from previous platformer games such as Super Mario World and even Mega Man.

In Chubz in Space, you are a football-flinging astronaut who must fight through three colonies on the Moon after being stranded due to a space shuttle crash which has killed your entire crew.

With that said, I'll leave the rest for you to play ..

.. have fun!

Right on! I'll play it as soon as I get on a computer that's not a Mac.

Haha. That rocked. I liked it. The last level didn't allow for much football action, though

Yeah, sorry about that .. it was mainly meant to be a level full of obstacles so that you could make it to the last boss.  During the development, I thought of it as a level similar to all of the "Bowser" ones in the original Super Mario Brothers.

Another thing I'd like to apologize for is the length of the game; you can complete it in just a matter of minutes if you know what to do, but the goal of the game is to provide a quick fix of fun - it's not an overly deep game nor will it require tons of skill to complete.  That's the one thing I was aiming for when I created it:  Fun!

Glad you liked the game, though.  Thanks very much for playing!

I think its a nice game! Loved the idea of an Astronaut being a platforming hero and the way he runs makes me laugh.  Okay, maybe it is a little rough in places but its a good effort all the same and worth the download!

Thumbs up! ^_^

LOL, thanks man .. yeah I'll admit that it's rough around the edges in several places but I'm pretty happy with the results and I hope that everyone enjoys it!

Yeah, I'd second the idea of a sequel.  You already have the engine in place which gives you more time on design and polish! ^_^

Yeah I've been thinking about doing a possible sequel whenever I'm out of school for the summer.. I could put more polish into it and make the levels much longer and the enemies more fancy, etc.  (Though a lot of the problem is that I'm a horrible artist; but I try!  LOL).

Anyhow, thanks for the interest guys.. since you want to see a sequel, I'll try my best to work on one whenever I get the time!

Tomorrow is the day of infamy by the way.  It's my 10+ minute speech in which I have to talk about the history/development of video games and provide a little demonstration and test session for Chubz in Space.  Wish me luck!  I'm nervous as HELL but I have a feeling everything is going to be alright.  Here goes nothin' !

Man, I'd love - just natter on for 10 minutes to a captive audience for nothing but video games.  Lucky Sod!

My speech would go along the lines of "...and so the hand of God was LucasArts...who gave to man Monkey Island. Thank you, thank you - you've been a great audience!" ^_^

That's really odd .. I'm not sure what's going on there.  What OS are you running?  Hmm..  :(

LOL, at least I have one fan still left.  :D

I would work with Game Maker more if Vista wasn't so pissy towards it.  :(
