Daikatana E1DM2 on Source Engine.  More to come ;)

If anyone's interested in helping out with DK:S let me know, I need people to help do retexturing, coding, and modelling.  Most def. retexturing atm.

Haha awesome. Good work, at least someones trying something - with screenshots so early. I doubt I'd be very useful in the source environment, but I may be willing.

Hopefully it won't be like other people's "efforts" at a remake/sequel of Daikatana, not naming any names...

Looks awesome! The Daikatana architecture in the Source engine reminds me of Quake II for some reason.

Hopefully it won't be like other people's "efforts" at a remake/sequel of Daikatana, not naming any names...

It will last :)  I'm just waiting on someone to hook me up with the rest of the .MAP files and we cna get to work.  These aren't remakes, they're actual ports ;).  Imagine DK sidekicks with Alyx's AI, dear god!

If anyone remembers or cared in HL2 mods, I was on MI/177 and I helped program and map a lot on that so my skills are hurr 8)

You have to ask John for the map sources. He gave me some of them a long time ago, but unfortunetly I've lost most of them. Maybe John could make a news entry and post them all there. But it looks like he's very busy at the moment.

btw /me hates Steam :D

Well, e1m1a is coming along and slicedm1 is basically finished ;).  That's all I'm saying :X  Still need people to help out porting models and whatnot.  And someone to retexture would be badass.

I had petro test this map with me, but alas, I have actually found how to make the game movement speeds faster and the air acceleration values and whatnot.  So, hopefully soon I'll clean up the map a bit and we can schedule some night we can test out movement speed values and fine tune it exactly how you guys think it is.

I've got a few good people helping me out testing the speed of the game and whatnot.  For the most part, it's pretty close.  If anyone is willing to help out with model conversions please let me know or if you can code particle effects and whatnot.  I have a coder but another doesn't hurt as well.  If you're applying to help out please show me any previous experience if you can!
