I've finally played some of it.  Singleplayer only since I only have dial-up.

I'm a zombie lover,.. and strangely I haven't really had any fun with Left 4 Dead.

I basically just have a lot of nit-picks.

-headshots are pointless, you can easily kill the zombies by shooting them anywhere. Why aim? Just spray some bullets at their legs or chest and they die. Just one or two bullets is all it takes. These aren't zombies after all. Turns out they're just crack-heads with spaghetti sauce all over their faces. In fact, you could replace the zombies with tigers or velociraptors or ninjas and it would be the same experience.

-the horde is cheap and spammy. Mainly due to the fact that they run so fast. Yet at the same time the horde isn't much of a threat. You can just stand still and spray bullets and take plenty of hits with little health loss.

- It doesn't even matter what gun you use. There's no advantage to using one type of gun over another. You could play the whole game with your unlimited ammo pistols. Why did they bother to put a scoped rifle in the game? It's all close quarters battles and the zombies run so fast and there are so many of them that a sniper is totally pointless.

-This is a zombie game using the HL2 engine. An engine with great physics. Why can't we barracade doors and windows or interact with the environment?

Okay so I guess it sounds like I just flat out didn't enjoy the game. I loved Dead Rising and Half-Life 2,.. I was really wanting to love Left 4 Dead. I think that the Ravenholm level in HL2 was a better zombie experience than this.

I'm going to keep playing it because I hope that maybe I will love it,..

Left 4 dead rocks!  I can't get enough of it lol. It's the ultimate 4 player coop experience, I have to agree with Johns comments on the front page.  Best coop experience since Doom!!

Playing the PC version as it's better control and gfx than 360.

My steam id is GadgetUK164 if anyone wants to add me into their friends list.

Expansion out next week!

Anyone going to dust off their copies and play?  I'm looking forward to it, at the very least.

It's great fun! Just make sure you have some folks to play with, as the AI is kind of idiotic at times.
