I've been pretty much nose down on the project I'm working on, just realized how much time had gone by and how much of a hermit I've been.

So what's new with everyone?  Anything fun you're working on? Vacations to brag about?  Mystery and intrigue?

Shouldn't YOU tell us about what you're working on that made you a hermit? :-P

Past year... hmm. Well, i'm not working at Track7 games anymore, i went back to the Samos island, i made a couple of games you can see in the development section, started a new 3D game engine recently and a devblog about it, i played a bunch of games, got a EeePC, lost more than 30 kilos (that would be about 66 pounds) of weight, got a fat new quadcore PC with a GTX280, broke the EeePC and i'm preparing to move to UK in about three weeks :-P.

I'm still working at the same mind-numbing job that I hate, but I can't quit.  Also,.. I'm always trying to start working on a comic book, but I can't seem to be interested in anything that doesn't involve staring at a screen anymore.(I used to spend 80% of my time writing and drawing.)

I love trying to get old games working on my new pc.  Even more so than playing them.

I also found a way to download youtube videos and convert them to mpeg4 files,.. so I've been stocking up on Saturday Morning cartoons from the 90's that have not been released on dvd.

I'm listening to a band called the Melvins all the time (when I'm not listening to Chemlab or Ministry).

I found a really great community for PC gamers called www.game-central.org .  It's not dead like this one,.. and it's fun.

And other than that I'm always trying to weigh out if I feel like going through another year.  So far it's 50/50.

Probably Bad Sector, but I never said I'd play fair.  ;)

Just been really busy on a project with Xbox LIVE, which has been eating up a lot of my time and energy as of late.

Which eee PC did you get?  I ended up going with a Dell Inspiron mini 9 for my general email and web chat needs, though that was partially due to the discount I got on it.

Shame to hear about the job jleeto.  Nice to hear you're finding some fun elsewhere though.  I really need to get back into this 'fun' thing I hear so much about.

Yikes!  Didn't even know about the cancer, Boone.  Glad to hear you're doing well!  :)  Have any of your 3d work up online?

EeePC 701 Surf. Was cheap so i didn't really thought much about it (fixing it would cost more than buying a new one). Besides i'm still using it - only the screen broke - via VNC to test stuff in there.

I'm looking into getting a Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo Mini (to match with my "larger" laptop which is an Amilo Xi :-P - ok its actually a nice machine, although i'm not sure about the normal HDD... EeePC is a very silent machine with its SSD).

Thanks Mr Wolf.  It turned out to be something different, but yeah the stress was so much that when the Doctor said "Its not cancer" I couldn't help but burst into tears!  It was good to put that behind me...

Oh, you can see my recent 3D wips in the creativity section here on rome.ro.

Ms Wolf actually, not that I make it particularly easy to tell.  :)

Love the Fenris model!  Was it ever animated?  I'd love to see it in action.

I have done you an injustice, Ms Wolf! My apologies, be assured! O_O

Unfortunately, the project collapsed before we started the animation stage.  I did produce a simple animation test with a mock-up wolf, but it was just a simple howling motion.  It was one of those where I was going to keep the project going on my shoulders(someone has too), but unfortunately I called it a day after an intense conflict with another team member.

I have been meaning to do more animation, but not sure what to do.  I'm currently thinking about a 2D-RPG java game like the Final Fantasy remakes on the PSOne: have a FMV intro and outro done in Silo and Blender.  I can't seem to make my mind up these days as to what I want to do...

Hey, long time no see!  I've been finishing up my Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (finally a Senior), playing games now and then, spending time with beautiful Olivia, working on my MR2, helping a good friend with his performance auto shop, Uehara Motowerks: Eneos Service Center, visiting a few race tracks to show support for my other friend's race team (look up Factor X Engineering, Redline Time Attack NSX, and you can see them), going to be best man in my best friend's wedding in May, and hopefully my brother and I will make it to Japan in October for the Formula 1 GP of Suzuka (If the Marine Corps doesn't decide they need to deploy a JAG lawyer to Afghanistan).  Oh, and my employer (MGM Mirage) has me doing asset management at the moment, but about to go full swing in the Project City Center IT deployment.  Busy, busy man I am these days.  Hope it lasts!  Good to hear from ya,

Oh why not.. :P

Been busy with school, taking 20 credit hours per semester trying to graduate on time. I originally went in as a music student, switched to broadcasting for a semester, and settled on physics where I am now. Hopefully, in 1 more years time, I'll be graduating! And, hopefully, I'll know what I'll be doing after I graduate, ideally (I think) grad school somewhere. This summer's project is to research masters/doctorate programs.
I decided it would be a good idea to work while going to school, figured I could make money as fast as it gets spent on school, so I wouldn't be really losing anything. So far it's worked out good!
I also started helping with the physics drop-in tutor sessions that just formally got started this year. Next school year I'll be in charge of organizing them. One of the professors wants well documented records of the tutors & students, in hopes of getting some kind of outside-the-college funding for it (so we can run through the actual Physics dept and not through the Learning Center).
Also earned the self-appointed title of "Minion".. my professor one day asked me if I'd like to grade for one of his classes.. partially to make his life easier and also partially to help build my resume (I'm at least looking into teaching, if not completely serious or dedicated about it).. and has jokingly (I hope) been pestering me all semester that next year I should grade for other classes of his.. we'll see how serious he is next semester...
Umm just got my first apartment ^_^ with my boyfriend, it's a 1 bedroom, 2 blocks from the college, and cheap rent for the location and how nice it is. $600/month for ~900 sq. ft, built only a few years ago so everything is still in very good condition.. vs the shitty ass <$500/month singles in the buildings that smell like pot, and the >$800/month singles that are over 1000 sq. ft, no utilities included, and pretty grass. Whatev. lol

Working, a lyrical project based on Rammstein's work, and planning our trip to the family village in Greece next month.

God, I need a holiday.
