I predict that in a few weeks or a month or something that there will be some special live show honoring his music career with lots of pop people doing covers of his songs.

Not that I am a HUGE fan, but definitely a big fan of his pre-mid-90s carreer.
Thriller, Beat it, Billy Jean, Bad, etc. all are kickass songs, even listening to them today occasionally.

Really too bad he's gone. I had been curious to see videofootage of 50-yearold Michael Jackson doing his moonwalk in the upcoming London concerts starting in the 2nd week of July. Still can't believe he had planned to do 50 gigs in just 2 months there!!! That's a freaking monster-schedule!!!

R.I.P. Michael Jackson :(

It’s like my complete youth died this year.

First 3D realms dies, then Id Software. And now Micheal :(

I’m just glad that I went to his HIStory tour in 1996. I still have the ticket and the t-shirt my dad bought for me at the concert.

He was the King of Pop.  Fuck the Beetles or whoever - Michael was the best performing artist on the planet.  His dedication, skill, talent and hard work has yet to be surpassed.  Shame he slipped sofar in the last decade of his life...

As for his life in court - there was never any solid proof against him, because if there was he would have been in jail long ago.  I don't believe he was a pervert and that others simply targeted him because he was naive and had a lot of money.

That aside, we have lost one of the greatest talents the world has ever known.

What has the Beatles have to do with Michael Jackson? They broke a decade earlier and had a different kind of music and style.

Well, everyone goes on about them being the best performers of all time.  MJ(can't believe I'm finally calling him that now!) accomplished so much more.

I never followed his court cases but I wouldn't rule out somebody of being guilty or innocent due to a court ruling. Innocent people have been tried for murder and rape only to be found innocent over a decade later due to the rise of forensic DNA evidence.

anyway Hot toys has done an amazing job at immortalizing the King of Pop

There has indeed been many cases of justice cock ups since the beginning of time.  Unless we are involved in the case, I guess we will never truly know...

Did anyone else see the Memorial Service they had on TV? I'm so pissed that I didn't get to go, but my friends cousin was the only one around here who got tickets..and he didn't even go. What an asshole. I was so upset. lol

Anyways, I finally was able to get my emotions into words and move on. It was very hard for me when he passed but I feel so much better now.

I'll miss him, that's for sure.

I don't mean to belittle others, but I can't get attached to celebrities or musicians. I didn't know them personally, so I can't really get upset about them passing on.

I feel this way about most celebrities. Though, if one of my musical idols were to pass away, I'd be a little upset. MJ isn't one of those for me.
